Six layers that
must not be blended
Separate entities for separate facts, so a seller’s listing or a single lot never overwrites what the manufacturer specifies.

Supplier SKU, link or candidates to the product, pack and unit, commercial description.

A physical batch
Condition, lot evidence and source-backed origin — scoped to the lot, not the product.

How records relate
Exact identity, variant, candidate substitute or supersession — with evidence and review.
Field status
Five ways a field can be empty — or not
Every applicable attribute carries a status. That is what makes completeness measurable and gaps actionable.
