Does the decoder look anything up online?
No. It runs in your browser against our standard-size reference and suffix list.
Why is my number not recognised?
The reference covers standard metric designations (deep groove, miniature, self-aligning, angular contact, cylindrical, spherical, tapered, thrust, UCP units). Inch tapered sets (e.g. LM11949), needle bearings and maker-specific numbers are not covered yet.
Are suffix meanings the same for every brand?
Often not. 2RS1 and 2RSH are SKF seals, 2RSR is FAG, DDU is NSK, LLU is NTN. The decoder shows typical meanings; the manufacturer catalogue is the authority.
